Jew and Gentile

Where does it say in the Bible that the Gentiles were engrafted in the Vine?

God’s mission and commitment was for the salvation of Israel-the Jews.

God brings Salvation to the Gentiles after the Jews reject Him

Psalm 14:7 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord brings back  the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

Jesus was born as the King of the Jews.

Matthew 15:24

24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

Luke 23:38

38 There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the Jews.

But since the Jews rejected Jesus as their messiah, God switched gears and turned to the gentiles and decided to include them or engraft them into the vine. He enjoined them to become part of the main plan of salvation He had reserved for the Jews. Jews and Gentiles are now both partakers of that salvation that was initially only meant for the Jews.

The Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah sent to them by God

John 1:11-13

11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

God dispatched the Apostle Paul to go to the Gentiles and preach the Gospel after the Jews resisted Jesus and the Gospel.

Acts 18:6

But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

Romans 11:11-36

Gentiles Grafted In

11 So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!

13 Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry 14 in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. 15 For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? 16 If the dough offered as firstfruits are holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fearful. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you too will be cut off. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.

Ephesians 3: 1-7

The Mystery Revealed

3, For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.
